Air Milford

Air Milford is a Queenstown-based family owned scenic flight company operating luxury Cessna aircraft to Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, Aoraki Mt Cook and beyond. Flight options range from a 20-minute Queenstown scenic flight to full fly-cruise-fly day trips combining aerial views of the Southern Alps, glaciers and Fiordland with a small-boat nature cruise of the fiord. Three generations of pilots and two generations of aircraft engineers are actively involved in the business, delivering a personalised, small-group experience.

From the moment you get in touch, the team will listen and work with you to make your journey as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Good to know

Electric/power wheelchairs cannot be accommodated on board due to aviation safety regulations. Manual wheelchairs are welcome — the team will assist you up the boarding stairs using a steady two-person technique, and your chair will be dismantled and stored in the aircraft hold to travel with you. An IBEX stair-climbing chair is available to help with boarding and transfers. For fly-cruise-fly trips, the Southern Discoveries Pride of Milford vessel is fully wheelchair accessible, however vessel allocation depends on daily schedules and cannot always be guaranteed — contact Air Milford ahead of booking to discuss. Free parking is available at the base, or a complimentary pickup from Queenstown accommodation can be arranged via Queenstown Taxis.
