Skydive Abel Tasman
Motueka, Tasman

Skydive Abel Tasman is based at Motueka Airport and has been operating for over 25 years, with nearly 100,000 customers. Jump heights range from 10,000ft to 18,000ft, with freefall times of up to 70 seconds. The scenery is the standout — turquoise ocean, golden beaches, snow-capped mountains and three national parks spread out below, with clear days offering views all the way to the North Island. Local pickups are available from Motueka, Marahau and Kaiteriteri. Photo and video packages are available on the day. Allow around 3 hours for the full experience.
Inclusive statement
The Skydive Abel Tasman team has been working with MakingTrax for years and welcomes guests of all abilities. The MakingTrax adaptive harness system is used for guests with reduced mobility, and the experienced team will work with you to make sure your jump is safe, comfortable and unforgettable.
Good to know
The MakingTrax adaptive harness secures legs together during freefall and supports a smooth, seated landing — guests with reduced lower limb function can jump with confidence. Maximum weight is 100kg; guests over 100kg should contact MakingTrax in advance to discuss options. Parental or guardian consent required for anyone under 18. Local pickups available from Motueka, Marahau and Kaiteriteri — contact the operator after booking to arrange. All jumps are weather dependent — if conditions aren't suitable, you'll be called at least an hour before and offered a rescheduled date or full refund. A $20pp fuel surcharge applies from April 2026 until further notice. Contact MakingTrax in advance to arrange adaptive jumps.
